concretematerialcalc.com ("we", "us", "the site") is a free, ad-supported collection of construction calculators. This policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, the third parties involved, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect names, emails or phone numbers unless you choose to email us. The calculators run entirely in your browser. The information that is collected falls into two groups:
- Usage and device data gathered automatically by analytics (see below): pages viewed, approximate location (country/region), device and browser type, referring site, and similar aggregate metrics.
- Cookies and similar technologies set by us and by our analytics and advertising partners, as described below.
Your calculations stay in your browser
The inputs you type into any calculator, and any BOQ you build, are processed locally in your browser. BOQ projects are held only in your browser session (sessionStorage) and are not transmitted to or stored on our servers. PDFs and Excel files you download are generated on your device.
Analytics — Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a service provided by Google, to understand aggregate, anonymised usage so we can improve the tools. GA4 uses cookies and similar identifiers to measure things like which calculators are used and how visitors navigate the site. IP addresses are handled in line with Google's data practices and used only to derive approximate location; we do not use analytics to identify individuals. Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Advertising — Google AdSense and Adsterra
The site is supported by advertising. We work with the following ad partners, who may set cookies and use device identifiers to show and measure ads:
- Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can learn about and control personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings and the Google advertising policies.
- Adsterra. Adsterra serves display advertising and may likewise use cookies and identifiers to deliver and measure ads. See the Adsterra privacy policy for details.
These partners are independent third parties; their use of cookies is governed by their own privacy policies, and we do not control the data they collect.
Affiliate links and disclosure
Some pages and our free tools directory may contain affiliate or referral links, including links to other websites in our own network. If you click certain links and subsequently make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We only link to products and tools we consider relevant, and affiliate relationships do not change the calculations, methods or recommendations on this site. Links to external sites — including our network sites — are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of sites we link to.
Consent (EU/EEA, UK and similar regions)
Where consent is legally required (for example under the GDPR in the EU/EEA and the UK), advertising and analytics cookies are loaded only after you accept non-essential cookies via the consent banner. We implement Google Consent Mode v2, so until you consent, these services run in a restricted, non-personalised state or do not load. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by clearing cookies and reloading the site.
Your choices and rights
You can accept or decline non-essential cookies via the banner, and you can delete cookies anytime through your browser settings. Most browsers also let you block cookies or browse privately. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data; because we hold no account data, most such requests relate to data held by our analytics and advertising partners, whose policies are linked above. You can opt out of personalised advertising through your Digital Advertising Alliance and Your Online Choices (EU) controls.
Children
This site is intended for a general, professional audience (engineers, contractors, home-builders) and is not directed at children under 13, from whom we do not knowingly collect personal data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or applicable law changes; the "last updated" date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
